First racing day at the Norwegian Championship

After a successful Worlds in 2024, the Norwegian fleet continues in the good path, now organizing their Nationals in a completely different location Grimstad, a Southeast location in the Norwegian peninsula not too far from Arendal the place where 2007 Euro were organized or Sandfjord (Tonsberg) where the 1999 one and possibly the future 2026 Europeans. After a non-successful sailing day on Saturday where teams were kept afloat waiting for a wind that never came and when it did, it likely was spinning around like a carrousel. With an intense first day of competition, the Solings had their start racing day in the multi class event SIL organized by the CNSI and FAY (Argentine Sailing Federation), an event with more than 800 sailors, at this easter including classes such as Optimist, ILCA and F18 and the previous weekend IQFoil, Wingfoil, J70 and ALMA and next weekend other classes such as Grumete, Star, Finn and Snipe and later on the 29er and 420. CAN 230 Findlater, Smith and Devries the 2025 US Champions

After a failed Saturday where temperatures were excessive low and wind high, after a postponement in shore and then AP over A calling the day off around 1430. Later in the day the SSA hosted a nice championship dinner with crabcakes and shrimps. The early start for Sunday prevented the party to go on too late. US Championship - Three races under freezing temperatures

The great Soling fleet at the 2025 US Championship was welcomed with three races 4 to 6 degrees Celsius, a nonstop raining and winds from 14 to 17 knots from Northwest, shifty conditions, but at least a non-impressive swell. Three races were held using ISA standard course number two, what kept sailors from 10 to 1430 in the salty and muddy waters of the Chesapeake bay .
